Overview

Options trading is available only when enabled for the user's account. The web platform supports single-leg listed options workflows when available.

Common steps:

  1. Search for and open the underlying instrument page.
  2. Open the Options tab.
  3. Choose an expiration date.
  4. Review calls, puts, strike prices, bid/ask prices, and any displayed market data.
  5. Select the relevant bid or ask cell to open an order ticket.
  6. Review contract, side, quantity or contracts, price, order type, time in force, estimated cost, and buying-power impact.
  7. Submit only if the order matches the user's own intent.

General bid/ask mechanics:

  • Selecting an ask price usually starts a buy ticket.
  • Selecting a bid price usually starts a sell ticket.
  • The user must verify the final side and contract before submission.

Contact support if:

  • The contract appears invalid or expired.
  • The options chain does not load.
  • The order ticket does not match the selected contract.
  • The user needs approval, permission, or account-specific explanation.
  • The user reports a disputed, mistaken, rejected, or missing options order.
