Overview

Clear Street Private Markets gives eligible accredited or qualified purchaser clients access to shares in select pre-IPO companies, held in the same Clear Street account as their public positions.

Overview

Private Markets is a section of the Clear Street platform where eligible clients can request allocations in private companies before those companies reach the public markets. Positions settle into the client’s existing Clear Street account rather than a separate vehicle.

Eligibility

Private Markets offerings are limited to clients who qualify as an accredited investor — and, for certain offerings, a qualified purchaser — under applicable SEC rules.

You will be asked to confirm your qualifying status, such as income, net worth, or a professional securities license, before you can view or participate in an offering. If you sign up to invest in a specific deal, you may need to confirm your status again when completing the subscription agreement.

Clients who do not meet the applicable eligibility requirements will not be able to complete sign-up for the relevant offering.

Key benefits

Integrated portfolio
Private-market positions appear alongside public holdings in the client’s Clear Street account.

Potential financing availability
Eligible positions may qualify for up to 30% LTV securities credit financing arranged by Clear Street, subject to lender credit review and discretion.

Accessing Private Markets

Clients can access Private Markets from the left-hand navigation in the Clear Street platform.

  1. Log in to app.clearstreet.com.
  2. Select Private Markets from the left-hand navigation.
  3. Choose Explore to view available companies or Submissions to track allocation requests.
  4. If accessing Private Markets for the first time, select Sign Up on the welcome screen to begin onboarding.

Clients who received the launch email can also select Learn more to reach the same destination.

Important considerations

Private securities involve significant risk and may be subject to transfer restrictions. Liquidity is limited, and a six-month lock-up applies following an initial public offering.

There is no guarantee that securities will undergo an Initial Public Offering or be available to trade in the public markets.

Certain product features are still in development and will be available soon.
