Foreign Currency Deposits
Depositing from a non-US or foreign-currency account
If your funds are held in another currency (for example CAD, EUR, or GBP), convert them to USD with your bank before initiating the transfer, and send the deposit in US dollars. Clear Street does not accept or convert foreign-currency deposits, and a transfer sent in another currency may be rejected or returned by the receiving bank.
International clients can still fund a Clear Street account by sending a USD wire. For wire and ACH instructions, see 📄 Funding Your Account.
Deposits must be in your name
All deposits must come from a bank or brokerage account that matches the name and address on your Clear Street account. Third-party deposits are returned. This applies to USD wires and ACH transfers alike.
Common questions

Do you accept EUR, GBP, or other foreign currencies? No. Only US dollar deposits are accepted, regardless of the sending country.
Can I fund my account in a foreign currency? No. The account must be funded in USD. Any currency conversion must be completed by your bank before the transfer is sent.
Will Clear Street convert my currency on receipt? No. Clear Street does not perform currency conversion. Send funds in USD.
