Overview

To transfer securities into your Clear Street account from another broker, complete the required account transfer form and send it with your most recent statement from the broker you are transferring from.

What to send

  • The completed account transfer form.
  • Your most recent account statement from your current broker.

Submit both through the authenticated Support area in the Clear Street platform. If you cannot access the platform, contact Clear Street at [email protected].

The ACAT form

Download the ACAT form from the PDF linked below, complete it, and submit it with your most recent brokerage statement through the authenticated Support (form submission or live chat) area in the Clear Street platform.

Clear Street's DTC clearing number

Clear Street's DTC clearing number for ACAT transfers is 9132. Your delivering broker may ask for this number when processing an account transfer into Clear Street.

The Account Transfer Form includes this number and the other transfer details your delivering broker may need.

Potential transfer fees

Your current broker may charge an outgoing ACAT fee for transferring your assets. This fee is charged by your originating broker, not by Clear Street.

While your transfer is in progress

  • Positions still in transit are not yet in your Clear Street account. You cannot trade them, and they do not count toward your account equity until the transfer completes and the assets settle.
  • Your positions remain at your current broker until the transfer completes.
  • Once the transfer completes and settles, the positions appear in your portfolio and count toward your equity like any other holding.

Transferring cash instead

If you want to fund your account with cash rather than transfer positions, see 📄 Funding Your Account. ACH and wire are both faster than an account transfer.

Contact support for

  • The status of a transfer already in progress.
  • A transfer that appears stalled or is missing positions.
  • Questions about whether a specific position can be transferred.
