Overview

Clear Street is available as a broker on TradingView. You can connect your Clear Street account to TradingView and place trades directly from TradingView charts. Orders you place on TradingView go to your Clear Street account and follow the same rules as orders you place in the Clear Street app.

Connecting your account

  1. On TradingView, open a chart and open the Trading Panel.
  2. Choose Clear Street from the list of brokers.
  3. Log in with your Clear Street credentials.

If you don't have a Clear Street account yet, you can start from TradingView's broker page, or sign up at app.clearstreet.com.

What's not supported yet

  • Bracket and OCO orders. You can't attach a stop loss or take profit when you place an order on TradingView. Bracket and OCO support is on our roadmap, and stop loss and take profit at order entry on TradingView will follow.
  • GTC orders during extended hours. A Good-'Til-Canceled (GTC) order can't be combined with extended hours. Place GTC orders during regular market hours, 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM ET, with extended hours turned off. For extended hours, use a DAY order. This applies wherever you place the order, not just on TradingView.

Why a stop or exit order may be rejected

A sell limit and a sell stop on the same shares. Without OCO orders, the two are separate orders. If a working sell limit already covers your shares, a sell stop on those same shares is treated as a short sale and may be rejected. To use both, split the shares between them, for example half on the limit and half on the stop, or keep only one order working at a time.

A sell stop at or above the current bid. A sell stop priced at or above the current bid has already been triggered, so it's rejected rather than converted to a market order. Place your sell stop below the current bid.
